Is your Property Lying Empty over the Winter Months?
Winter is here, and to comply with the normal conditions that apply to Insurance Companies we would suggest that we either turn on the heating at your vacant property or organise for the water supply to be turned off and if possible the system drained down.
You should confirm with your Insurance Company which action would comply with your current policy.
While we are trying to find you a tenant, our default option for properties with gas and electric central heating and off peak storage heating, would be to leave the heating on at a low temperature constantly, however this will clearly incur a gas or electricity bill for the void period for which you will be responsible. For properties with electric panel heaters we would suggest draining the system.
If you prefer the system to be drained down please contact email@example.com. Should your property become vacant, our default position will be to leave the heating on at low temperature constantly.
