Flats to rent in Glasgow city centre

The rentals market in the city centre has always been strong with students and young professionals. Both Strathclyde and Caledonian University are located in the city centre and as such many students want to live nearby. The Merchant City, Cowcaddens and the Riverside Developments seem to rent all year long, making them a great place for 'buy to let' investors.

The average rental price for flats in the city centre is as follows:

  • 1 bedroom: £450 - £550 pcm.
  • 2 bedrooms: £550 - £650 pcm.
  • 3 bedrooms: £650 - £750 pcm.

Flats to rent in Glasgow's West End

The West End of Glasgow is renowned for its beautiful architecture, quaint shops, bustling nightlife and picturesque parks. The area attracts professionals of all ages and students attending Glasgow University.

There are many visitor attractions in the area, including the art galleries, the Transport Museum, Glasgow Botanic Galleries and Kelvingrove Park, as well as numerous leisure facilities, bars and restaurants. The Glasgow Underground runs throughout the West End making transport to the city centre quick and easy.

Byres Road is the main artery running between Dumbarton Road and Great Western Road. People go there to shop, dine and meet friends. Ashton Lane, situated behind Byres Road, is a popular cobbled lane come rain, hail or snow. The lane is populated by many pubs, restaurants and the Grosvenor Cinema; where you can enjoy watching a film with a glass or wine or beer.

Glasgow will host the 2014 Commonwealth games in the east end of the city.
