Important Tenant Information
So you’re looking for somewhere to rent?
By searching our up to date website you can see all available properties up to 2 months in advance. If you like the look of one of these then contact us to arrange a viewing. If you aren’t sure where you would like to rent it might help to read our “where should I rent?”
Viewing times are flexible and we shall do our best to accommodate you. If you decide you like the property then you will need to speak to the office and pay a reservation deposit.
Letting procedure
All tenants must pass a credit referencing check (payable by tenant) before a tenancy agreement is signed.
A member of staff will email you a link to our inhouse credit checking software along with a username and password. Once your check is passed we will arrange a lease signing appointment.
All lease signings are conducted in our offices and tenants require, as standard, one months rent deposit plus one months rent in advance. We will also require photographic ID and proof of current address (ie bank statement, credit card statement, current bill).
Tenants are issued with an inventory, a set of keys per adult and additional information for tenants. You are then free to move into your new home!
What if there is a problem when I move in?
Fineholm are your first point of contact for all issues relating to the property. We will do our very best to resolve any issues you may have.
If you have anything to report please call us on 0131 221 9131 or 0141 221 7993.
We also have a list basic list of frequently asked questions and maintenance issues.
Termination of tenancy
You will be contacted before the end of your lease to ask whether you wish to extend. If you do not wish to extend, then a termination date must be made with the office. A Fineholm representative will come to the property to check you out.
