Longniddry is a small village within East Lothian with good transport links by road and rail (Longniddry railway station is on the North Berwick Line) to the capital.
The village has a number of local, community based resources including local shops and Longniddry Community Centre, which also houses the library.
Like many coastal towns in East Lothian, Longniddry has a sandy beach beside the golf course. This stretch of local coastline lined with dunes and is known as Longniddry Bents.
There is the local Longniddry Primary School and nearby Tranent and Prestonpans provide Secondary Schooling. The properties in Longniddry are mainly traditionally built and it’s a very small community. Longniddry has the famous Longniddry Inn Restaruant which is well known by the locals from the surrounding towns nearby.
A good place for families with small children or people looking to retire in a peaceful village but still have local amenities on your doorstep.
